Located in Altrincham in Cheshire, our store includes several new product showrooms with customer access to our timber bays allowing you to hand select your chosen pieces before having them cut or machined.Our stock of treated outdoor timber is stored in our large yard in 4m high cantilever racking enabling us to not only carry a wide range of products but also large quantities of stock.

I've shopped at Atlantic timber for many many years, not as a regular trade shopper but as a Diy'er. I've always found the staff helpful although sometimes it can involve a lengthy wait as they are often quite busy. They have a cutting service which is very good and extremely handy if you do not have the specialist tools yourself to cut wood cleanly and accurately. Prices are a little on the high side but the service is excellent.

Been using Atlantic timber for over 20 years, the staff are excellent and very helpful, prices are better than whicks and b&q. Never had a single issue in 20 years. I would fecomend this place to anyone.

Wide range of materials, especially things like tricoya and valchromat.
Knocked a star off because they never respond to email requests unless I follow up with a call, and it often takes ages for someone to answer.

Tried to order some wood posts worth £ 200 for a shed. Couldn’t believe that the delivery charge was £90!! just to deliver within 1 mile distance. Anyways did get everything delivered free from
Wicks for a lot cheaper price.

Seriously I am just forced to give one star otherwise I would have given zero. This is the only shop in the word that would sell a cut off wood pieces at the same price like a new items. A 3.5 m oak cost £155 and because I found two cut off of 1.50 and 80 cm, they still charge me £105. I think they do not make a difference whether the item is new or used (mine were even damaged). The manager there is convinced that he is selling gold so the price is the same regardless whether you buy wood pounder, cut offs or a full piece,

Went hoping to "shop local" and "support independent" looking for a bifold door. Customer service appalling. Guy was adamant they don't make doors anymore the size I needed (1950mm x 826mm) made out like I was trying to get hold of unicorn poo. Had to ask him 4 times to please speak in metric measurements (I wasn't even born when we ditched imperial!) Kept trying to sell me a door that was too big n have it plained.
I ordered the correct size door off B&Qs website n they home delivered it in 5 days.

Excellent friendly and knowledgeable staff and a massive range of products all under one roof. I live in south manchester so I ve never heard of them but well worth the 25 minute drive to get there. Really well priced for trade and public so much better than my local timber merchants and b&q. This place is huge and if they ain't got it they will get it for you and offer reasonably priced delivery. I spoke to rob and martin from essex and they were both exceptionally helpful. 10/10 and great to support a local business rather than B&Q

Atlantic timber is a truly amazing business . They stock pretty much everything you need as a cabinet maker or joiner. The staff are very , friendly , approachable and knowledgeable, and it has a real “family business “ atmosphere to it. They always strive to get your wood cut as quickly as possible which enables you to run your business more efficiently. I really value them , top business and top people 👍

Bought 2 doors. 1 arrived damaged. unfortunately because we didn't open straight away they refused to replace it due to their policy of complaints in first 24 hours of delivery. They told us they checked every door going out of their warehouse. Complete lies. we actually went to distribution warehouse where they get their doors from and packaging was exactly as we received it. They are expensive as we bought exactly dame doors from a different company and were £80 cheaper. Never buy from them again. Beware.

Bought an FLB door from them couple of months ago. Ordered and paid over phone. Collected directly from the yard without going into showroom. No invoice or receipt given. Want to return door as not needed but nothing on website about returns time limit and no receipt given originally so no info there. Door in perfect condition and still in it’s packaging. Called today to request return but they’ve refused it telling me that they have a 28 day return policy. Would be good customer service to make sure that info is conveyed at time of purchase.

Has everything timber and joinery related plus much more. Cutting service is good, staff are helpful and friendly. Prices are competitive, can be cheaper than the "big shed" places on some things, which you can check online. My only complaint (hence 4stars) would be that you can be waiting a while to be served at certain times. Could do with more staff on Saturdays.
