Been going on over a year After registering as an installer, paying the registration fee updating the mtc course and sending in my info I have heard nothing back from Fensa. They have taken my money and offered absolutely no service. I would strongly advise any potential installers steer clear of them. Absolute shambles , never get back in touch always you chasing them nowt but a money grabbing con , absolute joke!

I had issues with my window installer and the fensa certificate, spoke to a lady called Heather at Fensa. She was incredibly helpful and sorted the issue out for me in less than 20 minutes.

The door knob is too small for my arthritic hands to open the door. The installer couldn't help. I presume you design the doors but with only one type of small doorknob 3cm long. Nothing to do with you, you say. I'm still opening the door with a spanner. It won't accept my photos.

I tried to contact FENSA for help several times in 2020 but despite leaving messages no-one ever called me back. In January 2021 I submitted a complaints form about a double glazing installer we had used in York in September 2020. FENSA did not acknowledge receipt of the complaint which I had sent by recorded delivery. We were assisted by another organisation and hopefully the problems with the double glazing are now resolved. Therefore we withdrew the complaint to FENSA in writing, also sent by recorded delivery, but have received no acknowledgement.

Difficult to get hold of and very unhelpful when managed to. Rather pointless organisation. Masquerade as something to help consumers but in reality everything is not covered by their remit.

Absolute shambles. People working from home with the expected poor, lazy level of service. Voicemails full, no answer...ever. Responses to emails are generic but just that, responses, no action taken. This body is just a scam.

I have to say that my experience greatly differs from those that have had a negative one. I contacted FENSA with my complaint and they organised an inspection of the installation. The installation failed on two aspects of building regulations. The installation company agreed to return to rectify but did not do so by the prescribed date. As a result they were suspended from the FENSA register until they complied by carrying out the required works. Thankfully the works have now been completed.

FENSA is an eye wash. They allow cowboys to be approved installers. It has taken 1 year almost to chase FENSA for a response for an installation that was not done properly. I had to really chase them up and warn them that i would escalate this matter to ombudsman and then they responded. Now ever after remedial works the inspector clearly explained when asked it is still not done properly but i will leave it to FENSA to decide. No response after inspection, after 2 weeks when i emailed the answer was Case is closed , if you have any issues contact the contractor who installed. I will escalate the

Disgusted with FENSA requested their offer of inspection due to issues with my installation not being addressed by company promises promises to resolve no action. When told the offered inspection was not possible advised by FENSA to complain and advised of name to quote. The reply from Stephen and rudely no name on second reply was patronising and dismissive and told person names not known?!. FENSA a waste of space.
