Services
Johnson & Starley have been providers of comfort since 1922. They have long been recognised as a company at the forefront of innovation in the UK domestic heating and ventilation market. The journey to establishing such a reputation began in Blackpool nearly a hundred years ago when two businessmen - by the names of Mr Johnson and Mr Starley - opened a small but ambitious garage business.
Johnson & Starley's latest and fully compliant, condensing warm air heaters offer a host of energy saving features and intelligent electronic controls and are available with or without domestic hot water. With typical fuel savings of up to 28% and increased thermal efficiencies of up to 25% the benefits of a WarmCair heater over any non-condensing warm air heater are outstanding.
With the latest energy efficient technology, the Aquair Heat Interface Unit is the most unique and versatile solution when replacing any aging warm air heater. The Aquair will provide all the benefits that a centralised heating system can offer, but with a host of additional advantages. There could also be a requirement to heat some previously unheated rooms or add additional heating to an extension.
Houses now have very efficient insulation which is great for the environment but not always good for you. A lack of ventilation can create an uncomfortable living space and puts the fabric of the building at risk of excessive condensation. An average family of four can generate 5-15 litres of water vapour a day, and that can easily condense on cooler surfaces in the house.
All Johnson & Starley boilers carry the QuanTec name - a badge of distinction that signifies reliability, efficiency and unbeatable value for money. They are British made and each model uses cutting-edge technology to reduce fuel bills in a unique and impressive way. Add to this a reputation for being easy to install and maintain and it's no wonder QuanTec is the number one choice for homeowners and installers alike.

Had a boiler installed 3 years ago and has had something wrong each year. This year the heat exchanger failed, customer service from Johnson & Starley has been very poor not even an apology. Would never buy from them again.

Worst boiler and worst customer service. I made the mistake to buy this boiler on recommendation of SAP energy assessor who definitely get commission from company. The boiler packed up after 12 months and company refused to cover under warranty as I didnt send the guarantee paper back. Stuck with it as no local engineer willing to look at it as it's not common boiler

The service at Johnson and Starkey was very good and helpful. Although they originally sent the wrong size product, they exchanged it efficiently. It's the warm air floor grills that are the problem. Although exactly like the original ones in our bungalow, they aren't robust enough and bend easily if trodden on. They aren't cheap. Costing well over £100 for 3. My grandson bent them back with his bare hands!

Useless! J&S Wasted nearly 12 months of my time. They repeatedly promised they could design a system for a new build. Once the planning and building regs drawings had been completed, they suddenly turned around to our architects and said they were unable to design the system.
Conclusion: useless, incompetent, time wasting losers.

One of the things that cause problems is that the DHotWater takes priority over the WAirHeater, so if heat is required to the DHW no heat is sent to the WAH. It seems to me to be a design error as a warm air system is supposed heat house quickly on demand and if heat is required for the DHW then it will not--to help to overcome this -especially on cold mornings make sure that the DHW is programmed to be on and OFF before the WAHing is required to ensure WAH operates to settings.
I have only very recently had the Warmcair system installed as a replacement and would agree the air flow noise is greater
