Robbins Timber is one of the largest, privately owned merchants in the South West of the UK, with an excellent reputation for quality products and machining services. We serve a wide range of customers including the construction, joinery, furniture and marine industries, both throughout the UK, and abroad.
Robbins Timber recognises that we have a simple duty to acknowledge and contribute to the protection and conservation of the world's timber supplies and other finite resources. The ways in which we do this are outlined in the statements below. Our policy statements are constantly under review, especially in light of new information on scientific advances, environmental and safety legislation and industrial activity.
In addition to stocking a wide range of C24 Green Treated construction grade softwood, we also offer a preservative treatment service. Green in colour, and for external timber uses, pressure treatment provides the best possible protection for your timber, using a combination of vacuum and high pressure impregnation.
From simple one coat priming, to knotting and priming, through to paint or oil systems, we can meet the vast majority of specifications. Our suppliers only work with market leading brands, to ensure the best quality finish is both achieved, and maintained. Alongside our machining, and preservative treatment services, we offer a professional, controlled process from sawn board to finished product.
Our substantial timber machining facility sits at the very centre of Robbins Timber. We have been cutting, planing and profiling timber for nearly 150 years, and have always focused on supplying a high quality finished product. The current modern facility incorporates two cutting lines, several large moulders, a four sided planer, spindle moulders, thicknessers and cross-cuts.

Just the job, glad I know about this place. I often go to the wood recycling project when building things but I often have to adapt my design on the fly to fit the materials they have available. If you want to just build what you've designed without the faff, you can go to Robbins and obtain and pay for exactly what you need, no more or less.

Only company in UK to stock the Edwardian picture rail profile I needed. Very helpful on email and on the phone. 10+m arrived in Swansea exceptional well packed and in great condition. The timber was knot free and very well machined with no drop off on the ends, great product and fair pricing will definitely come back.
