Regional President of the Association of Plumbing, Heating Contractors (APHC) in 1999, joining the Board of Directors in 2002. He was the APHC representative to the GCI - UICP which is the European Technical Contractors Committee for the construction industry, recently he resigned this position to devote time to other projects.
At that time most Companies installing heating were well established plumbing firms, such Albert Jackson's, Norton's and William Green's (all of the of West Bar area) who had progressed into the "new fangled" central heating market. Wanting a different, more modern title, I decided to use just initials (at that time almost unique) and decided on my own which are Roger Stephen to form R S Heating Co., a wholly central heating dedicated Company.

RS Heating and Building are registered installers of Vaillant, Worcester Bosch and Glow Worm equipment, allowing us to offer a full 7 year warranty on Vaillant, an excellent 8 year warranty on Worcester boilers (with filter), and 5 years on Glow Worm boilers.
Having been Established since 1971, we have an accumulated knowledge of the majority of central heating systems. Our heating engineers are not only Gas Safe registered but regularly attend various Manufacturers training courses. They also operate with the latest electronic testing devices for the modern boilers but "Senior" staff are available for the quirky ageing unit.

After being let down by another plumbing company for a boiler service, I took to google to find a respectable company and came across RS Heating & Building Co.
Initial contact was very professional and was informed they were able to carry out my service the next day, brilliant news! The next day one of the engineers arrived (Plesant gentlemen) and carried out the service
I would defiantly recommend this company to anybody and I will use these guys again.

Our boiler broke down Sunday Dec 12th. I called Roger 9am Monday morning and by 11.45am Matt was at ours diagnosing a broken fan . Roger ordered the fan Monday pm and it was fitted Wed am. Both Roger and Matt are brilliant and are always reliable. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a heating engineer/ etc. Long may they stay in business rescuing people like us. Our 17 year old boiler expired on Monday evening. I rang Roger on Tuesday morning and by the evening he had visited and provided a competitive quote. By Thursday evening we had a new boiler working perfectly. Roger and the fitting team were extremely professional throughout. RSHB has provided similar high quality work previously at my workplace and for friends and colleagues and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Our boiler needed replacing as a matter of urgency.
We contacted RS Heating who came to our property and furnished us with a detailed competative quote which we accepted.
They were with us quickley and replaced the boiler along with all the pipework, carpentry etc that was required.
The engineers were polite, efficient and very professional, a credit to RS Heating.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Our boiler died on Sunday, the team assessed it on Monday and replaced it on Thursday and Friday.
They never left us overnight without heat or warm water and managed to do their stuff with 4 of us working from home and minimal disruption.
As a bonus they detected and resolved a 4 year old installation mistake in the fitting of our old underfloor heating which had rendered it virtually ineffective...fantastic result.
I can't comment on cost comparisons as the urgency of the work was more important to me than shopping around, but the charges seemed reasonable for the quality of the equipment and

Excellent service from start to finish. Our boiler packed up and we were cold so needed new one urgently. They responded immediately and it was all done within a couple of days.
