The Designer Sofa is based in Long Eaton Derbyshire, an area associated with the production of fine upholstery. Our showroom and factory is situated a few minutes from J25 of the M1. The difference between us and many companies seen on television and in newspaper advertisements is that we don't use modern mass produced manufacturing techniques.
Amazing, from the first conversation with Zac and his obvious knowledge of the furniture trade, especially Wade furniture, we knew we would not be disappointed. Having searched everywhere to replace our tired looking furniture, to no avail. John suggested getting it recovered. Wade long since closed.

Where should I begin? What an excellent company and what a wonderful team. We approached The Designer Sofa Company early in 2021 to design and manufacture a bespoke, curved sofa to fit in our curved lounge. We had tried a couple of other companies both of which came to nothing. Having spoken intially to Zak on the phone he invited us to the showroom to discuss our requirements. Our visit to the showroom lasted 4-5 hours and covered everything from shape, dimensions, fabric type and colour. Even more impressive was to see how the bones of the sofa would be made from English beechwood in the carpentry

The designer sofa company in Long Eaton provides a unique service offering bespoke chairs, working with you to come up with a chair/sofa of your own. I wanted a chair to suit my disability and was comfortable for me sitting in the chair for longer periods of time. It really suited my needs, as a quite unique specification. My 30+ year old Wade three piece suite was looking very tired after giving great service over the years. I was beginning to despair of finding a British product of equal quality when I finally came across Designer Sofa.

Having thought about having my dining chairs recovered i did a search and these came up. I outlined what i was looking for and was given a range price quickly.
I have popped into the showroom and they quality looks exceptional. They were also keen to show the workshop area as work is done on site.
I have arranged to have my 6 high back chairs recovered. There is a lead time of around 3-4 months at present.

These guys are the real thing. They welcome, listen, ask the right questions, take a genuine interest and hand-produce the finest quality of furniture it is possible to imagine. I visited this store in the hopes of finding my perfect sofa. The service I received from Harris exceeded all my expectations. He spent 2 hours with me and explained everything I could expect and went out of his way to design a sofa that would be a perfect fit for my living room. I would highly recommend The designer Sofa. We spent a couple of hours in the show room in Long Eaton discussing our needs. Zak and the whole family were attentive, offering suggestions and listening throughout. They even gave us a tour of the factory at the back. Our sofa has arrived today and the quality is top notch and exactly what we asked for. The delivery guys were great as well.

A superb made to measure service. From the start, all staff were so helpful and accommodating to what we needed for our space, measurements and colours. Tonnes of fabrics to choose from. We were able to make all of our sofa bespoke: the size of cushions, shape of arms, legs, height of it. We felt we were in control of what we wanted and not being told what only options there were, like you get at usual high street places. Fully recommend for anyone who is looking for their perfect sofa. Even through lockdowns, we were kept in the loop about the progress of the sofa being made. Thank you!

A very good selection of sofa styles which you can customise with your choice of fabric, cushion sizes and feet options, The build and materials quality is far superior to anything we could find in retail parks and better value than the sofas offered in exclusive brand showrooms. From the moment of walking in, (after spending several hours in Long Eaton trying to find the right company) absolutely delighted with the help and expertise given by Taz the owner. Nothing was too much trouble. Because we were moving house and our current sofa was too big, he and Zack his son drove miles to make sure our selected sofa would fit before we had it made. Extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. Superior manufacturing. You can look round the workshop and see exactly how it's made. Cant praise them highly enough Thankyou Taz and family
