Our projects include the design of buildings for community groups and charities, affordable eco housing and hostels, low energy offices and commercial refurbishments. Recently the Practice completed a headquarters office fit-out for the Soil Association based around healthy working, and are currently working an eco home in Backwell. Have a look at our journal for the latest news of our projects.

It seems obvious, but we really do care about the architecture that we create and the buildings we work on. When asked what kinds of buildings we 'do', we instead talk about the type of people that we work with. We practice an architecture of 'appropriateness', based on an understanding of the needs of the Client grown from building personal face-to-face relationships.
We are a close-knit team who work from our studio in Stokes Croft. The Practice was started in 2007 by Chris Askew and has evolved steadily over the years into the people-oriented place it is today. The practice merged with Cavanna Partnership in 2014. Along with our core team we like to maintain links with student internship programmes, and as a result our numbers periodically multiply to welcome new faces.
We loved the designs. We thought they were imaginative and smart and just what we wanted and they have been hugely helpful in helping us clarify our thoughts. As architects, we work with many individual clients. Every project is special. Whether you are planning on a barn conversion, or have aspirations for a Passivhaus new-build grand design, we will be pleased to meet for an informal conversation about your project.
Our architectural design work involves us in dealing with many beautiful historic buildings -illustrated above are a few of our projects, ranging from refurbishment and conservation of listed farmhouses and hotels to a study of the fascinating archaeological relics at Cwm Maethlon.
