Services
Coxwold Cabinet Makers was established in 1987 by two local Yorkshire cabinet makers; Geoffrey Taylor-Gell and Jonathan Dixon, with the help of a 1,000 grant from The Prince's Trust. In 1988, as the business grew, they employed Paul Cooper who had recently finished his apprenticeship. The business has grown steadily since, developing a loyal client base requiring individual high quality furniture.
Our kitchens are custom built and therefore don't need to conform to standard sizes, which means that we can make the best use of the available space. All kitchens can be changed in design detail, size and choice of timber or paint finish. This gives you the opportunity to put your own personal touch to your bespoke custom made kitchen and make it unique.
Specialist commissions have been undertaken over the years including the shop fitting of the Visitors' Centre on the Duke of Devonshire's Estate at Bolton Abbey, a library at Husthwaite Primary School and over thirty tables, a maitre d' stand and a porters' stand for the Cedar Court Grand Hotel, York.
We relish the opportunity to make a unique item; something different in either traditional or contemporary design. We have made long-case clocks, blanket chests, sun loungers, cd towers, magazine racks, book troughs, book cases, mirror frames, fire screens and many other bespoke pieces.
