Our architects and designers create harder working and inspiring places for people to live, work and learn. LOM is an architecture and interior design practice based in London. We are a RIBA Chartered Practice with expertise in education, residential, retail, workplace and mixed-use design. Our talented team creates exceptional buildings and spaces that inspire their occupiers.

She was a creative and hard-working designer and a good friend who rapidly became a key member of our team, at the start of what was a very promising career. As well as the UK, Karla worked in Italy and in her native Brazil. She travelled to build her architectural knowledge, and the Karla Roman Travel Bursary was established to enable other architecture students to do the same.

People are the heart of every business and the workplace environment plays a fundamental role in their performance. We make sure that the buildings and spaces they use are supporting their daily needs. We also look to the future, designing flexible workplaces that can easily adapt to different business requirements and keep pace with advances in technology.

Students and their families have high expectations when it comes to their choice of school, college or university. While fundamentally the buildings and sites need to have the correct facilities, there is an increasing focus on the student experience. We put students and staff at the centre of our designs to create environments that will support and inspire them.

Our work centres on designing high quality homes within thriving and sustainable communities. Comfortable, practical and peaceful, our buildings are tailored to support everyday living. Our designs respond to their specific context, while we also pursue any opportunities to enhance the areas around them.
