The owners of this property had recently purchased the house, and wished to remodel and extend it to take advantage of the stunning views afforded by it's position on a hillside overlooking Ilkley. An extra storey was added to the building to create two large bedrooms with en-suites, and a rear extension created further bedrooms and living space, and provided a large rear terrace off the kitchen-diner.
When we first got involved with this property, it was a tired looking dormer bungalow. Extensive works followed to create a new second storey containing a master suite, two further double bedrooms, large family bathroom and laundry room. A stunning double-height entrance hall shows off the gallery-landing and allows light to flow through the heart of the property.
We were fortunate enough to be involved in this stunning extension in Ilkley. The previous kitchen was in a small single-storey at the rear of the house, and didn't serve the needs of the new owners who dreamed of an open-plan living kitchen. The clients were keen to match in the externals with the existing stone of the period house, making it a really effective modern extension, whilst in keeping with the original house.
For this project we have completed several aspects of a full house renovation, including replacement dormers and windows, remodelling the internal layout, and assisting with the replacement of the kitchen and bathroom suites. All of the works have been completed to an impeccable standard, and we have had the pleasure of being invited back a number of times to work with these customers.
A garden room to provide extra space off the lounge with a pitched roof, as both a recreational and dining area. Full height folding doors leading to a sun trap patio area. Further outside storage space was built below. Design, materials, brickwork and roof tiles to match existing building alongside use of stainless steel, glass and Iroko timber frame.
