Having recently moved house, our new front door was almost impossible to lock. We duly contacted the company from the guarantee passed to us by the previous owners but were told that it wouldn't be valid now that the property had changed hands.
Quite by chance that night, Five Star were canvassing and I told the salesman of our problem. He rang the MD straightaway and 20 minutes later, at 8pm on a Wednesday evening, the boss came out to us!
He couldn't fix the problem that night but first thing the next morning a fitter arrived and solved our problem. How many companies work as well as that?

I ordered 4 double glazed windows and paid a deposit in June. The windows were fitted in August, and I paid the balance the same day. The bathroom window would not open, and I reported it, It was replaced this week after waiting 8 weeks, in which time I had been given 3 different dates for the work. Yesterday, a call from 5 star offering me two dates to come and fit it!!!! I told them it was done two days ago. TODAY, I have received a call saying I owed them £2.000. This was paid already 3 months ago. Now I have extremely high blood pressure, so it's a wonder I am still alive the rate my heart

Good service from start to finish. We required a new front door and a side window to the garage. We were kept informed of each step throughout the process, including when the order was being manufactured. A provisional date for installation was given, and the door and window were actually fitted on this date. The job was carried out efficiently and professionally, even cleaning the hall floor. Overall we are extremely pleased with the front door and window, and also the expert service.

After being promised it would take at most 6 weeks from the foundations being laid to completion (start of August) the work is still ongoing and it is now going into November. It has been excuse after excuse to delay, of which none had validity as the 'issues' were there when they surveyed and designed the conservatory. They also do not communicate what they are doing and leave messaging you until close of business so you are unable to get back in contact. We have a broken window, missing panel, unfinished edges, loose cables, unfinished roof that is not weather proof, soil stack just sitting there

Absolutely disgusted with the abysmal standard of work, total lack of professionalism and non-existant customer care. If I could leave a "no stars" review then I would.
This company left our newly decorated home in a heartbreaking mess and after HALF A YEAR of continual cancelled and missed appointments and unanswered emails we have had to contact Trading Standards and FENSA to get this situation resolved.
5 Star are now refusing to finish the work until we have paid our remaining balance (It was they who said we could withhold the final part payment until all work was completed!) Their reasoning

Poor service and not helpful staffs at all. My windows got replaced a month ago and the builder noted few damages to the new windows. The builder told me this report will be sent to the company and they will order the new parts to be replaced. I've been waiting for a month and few weeks to get a call from the office. I have to call them today and find out that they weren't told about the replacements. They have changed the whole office team and the people I've spoken to before are no longer working. Previous workers were much helpful and efficient. New team, even the head office are not helpful

I work at 5 Star so this isn't an independent review. I have though recently had two windows and a new back door installed and they are perfect. I'm very fussy when it comes to the house but can honestly say that the quality of the products and fitting are far better than our other existing windows.

After much trawling and looking at other companies, we settled for 5 Star.
So ok they are not the cheapest ,and a they are not the Fastest at getting a slot.
But you can either have it done fast and cheap, or correctly.
Like all things there were hiccups, but never not once were we left to sort it out, or didn't have an instant POC.
The senior management are on the ball, and 7 days a week there to help and assist.
The trades people they use, are top class; and trust me I am fussy.
The Project has left us with an amazing space, and 110% has added value to our house; beyond the cost

We wanted to create a new room to add to our existing lounge/dining area. We wanted the room to be used all year round and not be too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. We were impressed with 5 Star from the start. We visited their showroom and saw examples of exactly what we were looking for. The initial visit at our home was very professional and although not the cheapest we were impressed by the quality of their products and their building team. Work started on our new room within a few weeks. The building team were great and when we hit a problem with the house foundations experts
