Wood And Home adhere timber sash windows to project specifications. First of all we use the highest quality and durability materials in manufacture process. Customers can also choose between: timber type, glass specifications, finishes and ironmongery. Our sash windows features especially with high performance weather sealing and Law E double glazing.
Our classic wooden sliding sash windows operate using nylon cords and weights, and are fitted with the appropriate hardware, which allows the windows to slide up and down. Our double glazing and the weather-sealing properties are incorporated with a choice of slender glazing bars. Sash windows came spray finished in any RAL colour chosen by client.
The Balance Spiral/Spring sash window takes its roots from the original sash window but it's designed to suit modern constructions. By using Spring/Spiral balances the sections of the frame can be slimmed giving the aesthetic appearance. It is ideal solution for properties where window reveals were constructed without cutout for concealed boxed of traditional sash windows.
The reason for our company created sash imitation windows is simple: It is not possible for a typical sliding sash window to be fitted with proper tight rubber seals, this in turn will not give a 100% air tightness and noise protection, a requirement for passive houses and energy efficient building.

We recently used Wood & Home to replace a door, frame and fanlight window; it was a complicated installation because we live in a maisonette and share the middle section of the door frame with our neighbour. All of our interaction with Wood & Home was positive; Przemek and Karol were great to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, particularly if you are live in a Victorian conversion.

WoodandHome last week installed a new feature sash window made of engineered pine with acoustic glass, 3 sections to the front of my ground floor flat. I am extremely pleased with the end result. There is a big improvement in the noise reduction and the room is much warmer.

Great experience with WoodandHome. We had seven double glazed timber sash windows installed in our flat in a conservation area in Pimlico. Wood and home have recently installed new windows and doors at our property. From start to finish, the process was smooth and the result is no less than excellent and at a very good price. The quality of the materials used is excellent and if it wasn't for the double glazing and immaculate finish, one would think the windows were original Victorian. They blend in perfectly with the house. We have received many positive remarks from neighbours and friends.

We had a bespoke timber back door and sidelights fitted by Wood and Home. Throughout the process they were efficient and responsive.
