Our Story Report

Our head electrician Jamie, first started as a young apprentice rewiring houses in Glasgow. The role involved rewiring local authority homes every day in a contract which lasted over 10 years. During this time Jamie honed his skills in rewiring and soon developed a very fast work pace while maintaining quality workmanship.

What’s involved in rewiring Report

Dust sheets are fitted to the clients belongings, and floor protection is used where required. We carefully plan all the new locations for your electrical system and mark the fuseboxes, routes and chases. The carpets and floorboards are lifted to allow the cables to be ran, and we access the attic and basement.

I used this company to rewire my house. They were very professional at all times.
They always tidied up after them. All my neighbours praised the way that they worked and behaved.
A few years later they designed my bathroom and I still get fantastic feedback on it.
I can't praise them enough. I wish that they still did other improvements rather than just full rewires as I would love them to do more work for me.

I used HomeRewire for a full house rewire after a recommendation from a family member. I never had any other quotes as I saw the quality of job carried out and I knew I wanted them for my house. We approached HomeRewire with a view to carry out a complete rewire as it was becoming evident our Edwardian home was not safe. Full rewire of house. It was difficult to find a company that wanted to do a full rewire in Edinburgh. We saw the reviews for homerewire. On this basis we asked for a price and timescale. Jamie advised us that job would take 1.5 days. On this basis we proceeded with quote. True to their word job took 1.5 days. Left house tidy. We were happy with quality of workmanship and would recommend to anyone. There was a couple of minor snags and I was concerned that they may not return having been let down in the past. True to their word the snags were sorted.

Full rewire of flat. I called one evening and the next day was able to arrange visit and a quote. The online communication excellent from Jamie and Theresa. The team worked hard to finish the work within a day and to a lay person appears to be of a high standard. Small touch up required just for plaster work which was corrected very promptly and the final result over and above expected. All scheduled visits right on time. Regular dialogue throughout and questions answered promptly . Would recommend.
