The fascinating story starts in the dark days of WWI when Issac Desser, as a young British soldier, was posted to serve on the front line in Belgium.
It was here that he came into contact with Flemish craftsman who were producing various types of basketware. Like many new family businesses it had humble beginnings, at first being run from the front parlour of Issac's mother-in-law's terraced house in Whitfield Street, Manchester where his wife Annie and her family helped to pack the goods for despatch to customers.

We are delighted to announce that our showroom is back open, where you can view our extensive range of luxury indoor & outdoor furniture. Due to ongoing government guidelines, we will be operating on a reduced capacity of our showroom and expect to be very busy, therefore, we advise you book your visit.
To produce our natural rattan furniture, we work with partners that promote Fair Trade ethics, meaning that rattan farmers are always paid a fair wage for their work. Our strict rattan sourcing policies ensure that farmers and factories in some of the world's poorest countries are supported. We source lots of our rattan for our sustainable furniture from Indonesia, the world's largest supplier.
Delivery for outdoor furniture items takes approximately 10-28 days unless stated and is delivered via our premium 2-person white glove delivery service. Delivery for smaller furniture items takes approximately 1 week via DPD, unless ordered with larger items, in which we will then ship all items together.

Highly recommend. I had ordered furniture with another company who failed to deliver. I called Desser & Co and spoke with David Stewart. He informed me that they had furniture in stock. I had a few logistical problems because I live on a Scottish Island but we sorted that and he was very very helpful and always answered my emails. I have my furniture now and I’m delighted with it. Would definitely purchase from Desser & Co again. Thank you.

Excellent service! I am delighted with my new conservatory cushions. They are terrific quality and feel ( suddenly realised how baggy my old ones had got!). Lovely shade and good advice from Desser about the fabric. An easy firm to contact by phone, and efficient in dealings. Very well packed . All in all , worth every star in the five stars.

Came across DESSER website on Google search, had a look and found a couple of items I liked. I emailed a few questions and Mark responded late evening and we were emailing back and forth all weekend. Mark was patient with me to say the least 😉 but with his guidance we ordered a corner sofa which has been delivered today. We are so happy with it. The quality of the sofa is good and better than I expected. Thank you Mark, I’m looking forward to many happy days using my summer house sofa

Cannot rate this company highly enough. Bought furniture from them several years ago and had excellent service. Enquired about some new seat cushions and received reply by return. Answered all our questions and gave quotes. New cushions dispatched within days. A pleasure to find a company that delivers first class customer service.

I bought the Vale suite last August and despite very little use I was surprised to discover it was attracting a lot of dirt. I believe that if the fabric had been treated with Scotchgard before delivery this wouldn't have happened. In addition despite very little use during the winter the fabric has torn, it has become clear that the fabric is poor quality, so disappointing when at first it looked so attractive
