We no longer make waterbeds and we no longer use old joists but we still make bed frames from sustainable timber. We love wood and we think the amazing natural resource of timber should be used to make beautiful furniture that will last.

At the Natural Bed Company we use solid wood, no veneers, for our beds. Most of our wooden beds come in a full choice of timbers - oak, walnut, maple, beech, ash, cherry and pine - all from sustainable sources in the USA and Europe. The beds in our Choose Your Colour collection combine a solid hardwood frame with a coloured mdf headboard.
The correct support will depend partly on your weight, profile and sleeping position. To keep your spine properly aligned, the mattress should neither be too soft nor too hard. Too soft and it will not support your spine; too hard and it will cause pressure on your hips and shoulders. A general rule is that the greater your weight, the firmer the mattress that is needed to support you.
Here we offer a wide range of duvets, pillows, mattress pads and protectors. Our natural goose down or wool-filled duvets and pillows are wonderfully soft and comfortable. Lighter and warmer than synthetic ones they will last up to ten times as long. Not only insulating and warm, they allow excess body heat and moisture to escape, enabling a most comfortable night's sleep.

We had a fantastic experience with Natural Bed Company from start to finish!
We arranged to visit to the shop back in May and had a lovely time browsing in the showroom and speaking to the staff, got a lot of help with wood samples and additional pictures. Decided on the Oregon in Maple. We knew it was going to be a wait until it gets made and delivered but it was TOTALLY WORTH the wait! The bed is stunning and so beautifully finished. The quality of the wood and the design makes it really sturdy. Was easy to assemble too. We have had it for a month now and would 100% recommend!

We purchased the Highland four post bed, which arrived in good time and was easy to put together with two people. The solid oak is high quality and the bed looks great in our room. My only criticism is that for a company called the ‘Natural Bed Company’ we were disappointed that the mattress supports still rely on plastic brackets and the packaging used a lot of plastic bubble wrap. That aside though we are very happy with our purchase.

We ordered a king size Tibet bed in cherry a while ago. It was delivered on time and the delivery was exactly as described - delivered to the room of our choice. The bed was well packed and although some self assembly was required it was easy to do and I would say that you don't even need DIY skills to do it. These beds are not cheap but I knew that when I bought it. They are, however, beautifully made and solid. The latter being an understatement. They are also very stylish. We have added an Eve mattress to ours and the combination is very comfortable. We would certainly recommend this company
