We are a small family business established in 1972, as a one man business, making wooden chairs and sofas for the upholstery trade. By 1980 we had 10 employees and purchased more up-to-date machinery. In 2003 the business became a Limited Company, with founder Keith Johnstone (Managing Director), Doreen Johnstone, Melanie Irwin and Kevin Johnstone.
We are Chair Frame Manufacturers, who specialise in fully polished frames for chairs, sofas, stools and tables, for hospitals, nursing homes, hotels and restaurants. Also stuffover frames for the upholstery trade. Today Melanie Irwin is the sole Director, we are still a small family run business employing fully skilled workmen, Andrew Johnstone is the Production Manager, who has a background in engineering and specialises in Bespoke Furniture for Interior Designers and all the prototype work for the business.
