By exploiting the dosing flexibility in the technology we have created a unique high UV-B/UV-A spectral output that complements PAR grow-lights in horticulture to better replicate solar radiation within a greenhouse or indoor growing environment. The UV420 plasma grow-light delivers the vital UV-B, blocked by greenhouse glass and missing from PAR grow-lights.
The Environment is at the heart of all we do. We aim to ensure components and processes minimise environmental impacts as we develop plasma lighting to help address the global issues of food security, water supply and energy efficiency. The UV420 is a complementary grow-light designed to work alongside HPS and LED units to deliver a broader solar spectrum and a superior growing environment.
Based in Milton Keynes, Ceravision is leading the world in the development of UV lighting for horticulture. Our plasma lighting is founded on microwave-powered electrodeless discharges, and can use a large range of light emitters unavailable to conventional discharge lighting systems.

Based in Milton Keynes, Ceravision is leading the world in the development of UV lighting for horticulture. Our plasma lighting is founded on microwave-powered electrodeless discharges, and can use a large range of light emitters unavailable to conventional discharge lighting systems. In horticulture, plasma's flexibility in providing tailored spectral distributions, long life, high efficiency and added-value is persuasive.
At Ceravision, we know that it's our people that make us successful. Our reputation relies upon us recruiting the right people - scientists, technicians, production and commercial staff. People that can really make things happen and have a relentless drive to succeed within a fast moving technology company.
This small light source can be accurately positioned in a precisely designed optical environment to deliver as much light as possible to a target area. The compact and versatile form factor, with a dose that can be tailored to different spectral outputs, makes this a potential solution for several horticulture applications.
The UV420 is a complementary grow-light designed to work alongside HPS and LED units to deliver a broader solar spectrum and a superior growing environment. Trials at the Bridge Farm Group on industrial hemp and salads boosted oils, colour and flavour - watch Andrew Fuller (Bridge Farm's Technical Director) interviewed here.
Our plasma grow-lights are designed and built to the highest standards in Ceravision's R&D and manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes in the UK. All the products have been tested by independent laboratories and achieved CE Certification. The UV420 plasma grow-light is a commercial grade UV grow-light ideal for hydroponic growers or for integrating into large commercial horticulture facilities.
