Services
Outside-Inside tiles have two options, the INSIDE (Natural) range of tiles and the OUTSIDE(Grip) range. The tiles are exactly the same but with a different surface texture. This is ideal when the tiles are to flow from a room into the garden particularly if you have Bi-Fold or sliding patio doors. Why use porcelain tiles outside?
Why use porcelain tiles outside? External Porcelain tiles have a water absorption rate of less than 0.5% which means they're classified by international bodies as being frost-proof. Unlike natural stone and timber, porcelain tiles are non porous so they do not require sealing and require minimal maintenance.
They have certain advantages over natural materials, they are virtually non absorbent, are extremely hard wearing and durable and very easy to maintain. They fill a gap in that they complement perfectly the minimal requirements of contemporary design to a more rustic traditional floor. These tiles do not require sealing and are suitable for underfloor heating.
Frostproof Porcelain tiles are made from selected clays and formed into a tile. They are then fired in a kiln to very high temperatures resulting in a water absorbsion of 0.5% which is classified as frost proof. Finishes Certain tile ranges have the option of two finishes, Natural finish for inside use and Grip finish for outside.
