Hello my name is Andy Mckane a Master Chimney Sweep one of only two in the country, for both NAC's (National Association of Chimney Sweep's) and The Guild Of Master Chimney Sweep's. We are a family run business established since 2009. We are based on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border as well as covering a large area of both counties we also cover parts of Greater Manchester.
We sweep all types of chimney and stove flues using the time honoured rod and brush set, to the more modern flexible flue liner and even twin wall chimneys using the power sweeping system. All open fires, wood and multi fuel burners should have their chimney's swept approximately every 12 months. When each chimney is swept the job is completed with a smoke test.

Services
At Chimney Swept Clean we cover all types of services we can clean, brush and vacuum Class I and Class II flues. We also have a power brushing system to help clear those stubborn blocked flues. We can install various items including cowls, caps, chimney pots, bird guards, stove gaskets and glass as well as chimney liners.
Close Circuit Television (or CCTV) units are highly specialised miniture cameras. We use Wohler cameras as they are very manoeuvrable, incorparating 360 degree rotation and 180 degree swivel, into a unit which is small enough to fit into virtualy any sized flue pipe. A standard video output allows the documentation of the inspection for example on a video recorder.
Normal Chimney Sweeping Brushes can sometimes be not be quite as effective as Power Sweeping, this is because a traditional brush head misses most of the sides and only effectively cleans the corners. Power Sweeping as the name indicates is a lot more powerful and effective cleaning both the sides and corners.
Frequency will depend on a number of factors which include the type of fuel used, appliance, duration of use, moisture content of wood fuel, and the type of chimney you have. Your NACS Chimney Sweep will be able to advise on the sweeping frequency during the appointment. The sweeping frequencies below are for guidance purposes only:-.

I would absolutely recommend this company, they are so knowledgeable and gave me such a professional service. Marcus has such an in depth knowledge and employs extremely good tradesmen. I have had a wood burner installed for years that I could not use and he advised me on what was wrong and completely rectified all of my issues. I will not hesitate to use this company and we have recommended them to friends and family. There is very little that TL chimneys do not know about burning and chimneys. Just a great local company that provides an excellent service, please use TL chimneys with confidence

Marcus and colleague arrived when they said they would, were very friendly and happy to help straight away after seeing the problem. A large weed had grown from our chimney stack and was both unsightly and causing damage to the brick work. Within half an hour weed had been removed, treatment applied and advice regarding brickwork given. Cost was very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or have them return for other work.

Had a wood burner fitted by Marcus and his team earlier this year and couldn’t be happier with the end result. We were given excellent advice for which make/model to buy and the installation was a hassle-free experience. Booked in with TL Chimney sweeps for the first time, they came to sweep our flue as it was the first time since fitting. Service was helpful and friendly from the first call to book to the polite and helpful people who came to sweep. They were getting busy but still managed to fit me in. They worked quickly and efficiently and had a good setup that left no mess. Absolute pleasure to deal with and will hopefully see them again in 12 months time. Thanks again.

First time with TL Chimneys and first sweep of a year old appliance. Chris and Steph arrived bang on time. Very impressed with their uniformed image ( Vehicle too), equipment levels, knowledge, politeness and efficiency.
