I used Mike walkers previous company Cobra damp control. He said it's £700 for the damp proof course and I also stressed I wanted an insurance backed guarantee. He said a verbal quote is free but if you want it in writing its £40 but you get it back if you use me. I didn't want to be committed so I just had a verbal quote. After the work was done I paid £700 and asked where my insurance backed guarantee was, he said I didn't say I'd do it for that price it's an extra £100 for the insurance backed guarantee post a cheque and I'll send it you. A couple of years later I noticed damp on my chimney

So glad I didn't read the other review online as it would have put me off using Total Stop Damp. I have only praise for the company. Mike came and assessed my job first and clearly told me what he would do to solve my damp problem and gave me a price that I was happy with. He updated me on when he was going to come and do the job and turned up on the day at the said time, which from my experience with other tradesmen just doesn't happen anymore. He covered everything up before carrying out the work and worked non stop till the job was complete. I was amazed at how clean and tidy everything
