These rust and cause major damage to the brickwork by way of expansion, or rust bleeding.

Condensation occurs when warm and moist air hits a cold surface. The colder the air is, the less moisture it can hold. Therefore when warm air hits a cold surface it will release some of the moisture which deposits itself as beads of condensation. This build up of moisture can cause streaming windows and damage to plaster and timber.

We were worried about potential damp from botched cavity wall installed years ago by another company so rang Ascot Damp Proofing for a survey. They attended the very next day, exactly at the time promised and were extremely professional and friendly. All walls were tested and we were assured there was no damp issue. Knowing nothing about damp, this company could have told us anything and we likely would have paid. I cannot thank them enough for their honesty along with their advice on how to prevent any potential issues, particularly as they came out completely free of charge. I cannot recommend

Absolutely incredible service. They have worked very hard to complete a full damp proof course and solve condensation problems in a very short time period. They put up with my niggling requests with a smile on there faces and didn't just help me to solve the damp issue but alot of other issues too. Genuinely kind and caring people who where happy to help in anyway that they could. I can not thank them enough for everything they did.

Very, very pleased with the work completed by Steve, Dean and Liam. Have done a few jobs for us in the past and felt it was appropriate to leave a review. They go over everything before work commences such as schedules and costs. Both of which are consistently accurate. They recently damp proofed and completely re skimmed a house that we are renovating. The results of which are incredible, the plastering is to a high standard throughout, which was difficult due to the state of the walls. On top of the great works was also a great service in which they cleaned up, removed rubbish and left the property

Ascot Damp Proofing, Bolton have recently (Sept 2018) completed damp proofing at my son’s 1920’s home in Bolton which had extensive rising damp and some wet rot. Finding a reliable contractor for damp proofing is not easy, as it is a specialist area. From the outset, I have been so impressed with Ste, who confirmed the cause of the damp issues; gave a competitive quote; arrived on site within two weeks as promised; and, along with Dean, George and Liam have worked so hard to deliver an exceptional job of high quality, completed on time and in budget.

I've recommended Ascot to a few of my clients as he's always been honest, reliable and reasonable with their prices. Whenever I ring to ask for advise, within a day they go and have a look at the job. If there's no work required, they're honest and this means there's no money in their back pocket but just shows you that there are good honest tradesman out there. The works always done to a high standard and within good time scales. I used to recommend clients to another firm but found they were always too busy and couldn't give my clients the time of day needed and they'd start a job by then leave

I had the good fortune of meeting Stephen prior to doing a major renovation works on a period house that my husband and I had bought towards the end of 2014. Stephen was able to very clearly articulate what he believed needed to be done and also suggested some ideas and demonstrated great creativity in how the renovation should be handled. Thank you very much. ascot damp proofing was very reliable, my mum had used him first and he was very honest and gave her advice. Due to my mums recommendation i gave him a go and i am ecstatic with the work, he cleaned up after himself and put things back, he was very punctual and came all prepared for the job in hand.
