Services
After many years as a professional firefighter both operationally and as a fire safety specialist I decided to look for a new challenge and so trained as a chimney sweep with The Guild Of Master Chimney Sweeps. I am a registered member of The Guild which is a leading trade organisation that promotes standards within the industry.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, poisonous gas produced by incomplete burning of carbon-based fuels, including gas, oil, wood and coal. Although carbon-based fuels are safe to use, excess CO is produced when the fuel does not burn properly. When CO enters the body, it prevents the blood from delivering oxygen to cells, tissues, and organs.
Smoke percolating through a damaged lining may spread throughout the property leading to extensive damage and danger to life. Burning embers from the chimney pot affecting the original property as well as surrounding properties. When solid fuels are burnt the emissions are expelled into the chimney.
I see many very good stove installations each day but equally many very badly installed appliances. Occasionally I come across an appliance that is so dangerous that I have no choice but to place a condemn notice on it to ensure the owner ceases to use it immediately, these are generally installations that have not been carried out by a registered professional.
Creosote is the result of the distillation of tar, which is a by-product of combustion in many solid fuels. There are three stages or degrees of creosote. Third degree creosote is a tough problem to deal with, and it's not unusual for people to replace their flue liners in order to get rid of it. This kind of creosote can look like tar running down the inside of your chimney or a shiny glaze coating the inside your stove or flue.

Wouldn’t trust this family business. They let their daughter Emma take drugs and go to work on a cancer ward! She also goes round giving herpies to people unknowingly and instead of doing anything about it they help her hide things. If you help people hide it you’re just as bad as the person doing the crimes themselves. Wouldn’t trust them near any house
