Historically fireplaces have been manufactured on the site of Fireplace by Design, Measham, since 1961 and we continue this long established tradition by manufacturing over 80% of our fireplace range here within our factory.
We supply a wide selection of fireplaces, fires and stoves in both traditional and contemporary styles, with a large stock held on site and on display in our showroom. The majority of our staff are time served masons highly experienced in their craft. We always use modern technology backed up by high quality masons for finishing and manufacturing. Our purpose built Fire and Fireplace showroom, based over two floors, is home to over 300 fires and fireplaces, and 400 stoves.

Choosing a fire from Fireplace by Design Ltd could not be easier, from traditional to contemporary designs, we have a fire for you. Our large stock of gas, electric and solid fuel fires include inset, free standing, hole in the wall and wall mounted models. For rooms without a chimney or flue we offer a wide range of powerflue, balanced flue and flueless gas fires and a wide range of electric fires.
Fireplace by design carry large stocks of stoves ranging in size from 2 KW heat output upwards. Come and discuss your requirements with our sales team. They can advise on the correct size of stove and arrange fitting by our registered fitters if required. Many of our stoves are available to take away on the day.
Make your kitchen stand out with purpose made granite, quartz or slate worktops from our comprehensive range of colours and finishes carefully crafted to enhance your home. We were impressed by the choice of Fires and Fireplaces at Measham and liked that fact that they are well established company that manufacture the stone fireplaces on site to order.
We subsequently placed an order for both a gas fire and limestone surround in the showroom through Shaun, who was friendly and helpful, as was the surveyor who called soon after we placed the order.
The Fitters (Max and Toby) were very quick and efficient and were able to sort out an initial issue concerning our chimney. This involved them having to return twice to modify the top of the chimney stack in order to allow

We have just had our new ‘Infinity’ fire installed today, and it is stunning!
From the minute we walked into the showroom and were welcomed by Chris and Shawn - who showed us around, answered our questions and provided good advice - through to today, we have been extremely impressed. The fire was fitted by Max and George who arrived on time, were friendly, polite and to be honest a sheer pleasure to have in the house. They have some beautiful fireplaces in this shop. They aren't cheap, but not much is these days. They do sell off display models though so there may be a bit if a bargain. Also they can do a fitting service. I may find my bargain yet. It was comfortable browsing as the sales assistants didn't shadow you, but were there if you needed assistance.
