Services
Reducing the crown of a tree is the practice of reducing the overall size while maintain a natural shape. This is useful if you're looking to minimise the shade created by the tree or to reduce the stress on a tree. Crown lifting is process of removing the lower branches of the tree, often required for ease of access or to improve a view or vista.
We are happy to give advice on species selection and have a good relationship with local nurseries for high quality plants. All elements must be considered when selecting a tree or hedge for planting, soil type, shading, water supply, after care, growth rate, mature size, life span, cost, changing climate.

We have used KP Tree Care twice recently. Firstly to prune a plum tree. We were very impressed with the service which Kevin and his work partner provided.
They stuck to the price quoted. Timekeeping was excellent and they tidied up very well.
Consequently we asked them to return to do a much larger pollard on a mature ash tree. Access to the site across two gardens was not easy. Both I and my neighbour were impressed by the skillful and professional way that they worked.
I feel happy to recommend this company.

Not a big job by Kevin's standards but too big for me - after 20 years of managing it myself our 60 feet long conifer hedge was now 12 feet high and five feet wide, it had put on a few inches every year despite my best efforts. Time for the professionals and what a great job the guys did - back to a tidy and manageable 8 feet high and 4 feet wide in just a mornings work. After they left not a twig was left on the ground, KP Tree Care offer great value and a highly professional service - would absolutely recommend!

Kevin and the team did a great job maintaining our hedge and trees, clearing the area and chipping the choppings! He is knowledgeable and able to advise on trees and their canopies, and hedgerows and their wildlife - and has amazing tree-climbing abilities!

Kevin and his team did an excellent job felling, pruning and shaping a number of trees also removing a large leylandii hedge.
He is very personable, knowledgeable and reliable and operates in a safe and professional manner.
All the work was done to a very high standard and I have no hesitation in highly recommending KP Tree Care.
