As the mortar beds are the only continuous passage up the wall structure the DPC is injected horizontally in the selected mortar bed using our Dryzone system in accordance with British Standard 6576:2005 Code of practice for diagnosis of rising damp in walls of buildings and installation of chemical damp proof courses.

Could not fault the work that GDP did for me, a 4x1 metre section of plaster had to be removed to inject the damp proofing into part of the gable wall, an excellent re-plastering job and all rubble cleaned up and disposed of, a high standard of workmanship.

Got a quotation for £1200 for the works,
Spoke to another contractor who said there was no damp in the areas mentioned and he would only be taking my money if he worked off the original specification, thankfully i shopped around and and saved myself £800.

I was impressed by the honesty of their surveyor. We had damp patches in an unoccupied lower flat. Two other companies gave expensive estimates for remedial work which was not required. The General Damp Proofing surveyor said that heating and ventilation would solve the problems and that's what happened.
